Canon SD1000 or SD750

I love my Canon SD1000. I've owned Fuji, Olympus, Sony Digital cameras and they all fail in comparison to Canons stuff.
Olympus's I've owned at least 1/3 of the pictures were not in focus.
Sony's are easy to use and take decent shots but I like to have more control of the camera.
Fujis were ok.
Never used a Panasonic but irregardless why not get a Camera from one of the premier photo/imaging companies? (Nikon being the other)
