10 reasons why you should buy a digital SLR and nothing else

July 16, 2012 – 00:00

i Anyone wishing to embark on the photo to the question of equipment to buy, there are now so many different brands and models of cameras that we know more where to start. Simply put there are three broad categories of devices, compact, bridges and reflex.I prefer to put aside immediately compact and bridges, which although they are convenient due to their size and good image quality does not offer all the advantages of digital SLR cameras, the "top" of cameras modern digital.

Even if your budget is limited I urge you to wait or you tighten your belt if you really want to put yourself in the photo and take pictures of high quality.Still not sure?Well here are 10 reasons why you must get a reflex:

Although this is THE argument for which I recommend you buy a DSLR!

Having the ability to change lenses is a definite plus, and especially keep in mind that what makes the quality of your photo is the first quality of the lens and only after your case .So you can keep your goals throughout the year by changing only case (according to the news and prices).By buying a compact or bridge you will be limited in time, with an SLR you can always upgrade your equipment!

Have you ever noticed how frustrating it is to wait between the time you press the shutter button and the time the picture is taken? On some compact it even happens that the person we wanted to photograph is already part when the picture is taken ...

With more than a reflex problem, the speed of shooting is amazing and it is even worse when one goes in burst mode the image capture is instantaneous!

First of all you need to know one important thing about a camera sensor is the equivalent of the film (for devices of another era of course). This sensor is the medium that will "capture" the light and the image of your photo.

There are two important things about a sensor, its size and resolution. The resolution you know that's the thing we're talking all the time 10 12180000 megapixels etc. .

Here it is not what is important but its size is that it improves the quality of images when lack of light. To summarize there are different sizes of sensors and it is on the digital SLR that was the biggest. There are even two different sizes on the reflex: the Full Frame and APS-C sensors.

Using an SLR was a target of superior quality, which allows us to capture maximum details. The advantages of a target called "optical" (through your eyes) compared to a target of LCD are many,we can for example have a clear vision in bright sunlight.More on reflex there is many autofocus points, allowing us to precisely select the area you want to focus.

  • Avatar elemenopee. What is the best SLR digital camera for prefessional photography?

I am really into photography and wanted to invest in a high quality digital camera. I have heard great things about Nikon, Sony, Cannon, etc. I wanted to know your opinnion on which one is the best.

Please answer only if you know what you are talking about.

    • The debate between Canon and Nikon never ends. I am at many photography forums, and I still see a big argument.

What is see is that Nikon has good cameras compared on prices, but Canon has better set of lenses than Nikon.

If you want to be come a real pro photographer, you would choose lenses over camera. The money spend on lenses usually 5 to 10 times the money you spend on camera.

      It is up to you.

I want to invest in a nice digital camera, any ideas? I currently have a Kodak Easyshare and it takes really dull pictures and it does not work half the time. I can only spend $300 tops, maybe a little over if it is worth it. Anyone have any ideas? THANKS!

    • I'd recommend the Sony Cybershot W35 7.2MP Digital Camera or the Canon IXUS 800 IS 6.0 MP Digital Camera . They're both awesome cameras . Also checkout the Canon IXY 1000 10MP
Digital Camera if you can spend over 350 $ . its worth the extra money .

Hey guys. I've been looking at digital cameras, because I want a new one for Christmas. I've been looking at the Canon PowerShot SD600, and I like it and everything, but I just want to know if there is an even better one than that. Oh, and I want the camera to have a good flash (I'm not sure if its called that) that doesn't make people look really bright and white, which the old digital camera we have does. Please help! Thanks!!

    • I'm very happy with my Canon PowerShot... I would certainly recommend it for that price range.

Im getting ready to buy my 3rd digital camera... but i seem to be a bit mor picky with this one... I want a camera that is about or more 8 megapixels, high resolution, video mode, zoom lens, and i want to be able to see what i am taking a picture of at night through the screen... and on top of that i would love it if it were touchscreen... can anyone help me by letting me know what cameras can possibly have all of these features.. thanks!

    • I would recommend something that's between a digital point and shoot and a DSLR. SLR's won't let you view through the LCD screen and don't have video capabilities, but they take much better pics. I have a panasonic advan …oesn't have the touch screen, but it has a 13x zoom, 10 megapix, and other features that make it worthwhile. I would search around on amazon or something for "advanced point and shoot" and see what you can get.
